Interesting observation with the LED bulbs installed in the Marchal lights. The beam pattern is truly strange - like a fog light, but two parallel bands of light with quite a bit of separation between them. The upper band of light apparently was about driver eye level. I had to lower the aim of the lights as I was getting oncoming cars occasionally flashing their lights at me in daylight. Didn't make sense until I looked at the beam pattern at night. I didn't expect them to actually help with night visibility, but with them lowered, they do help light the sides of the road a bit.
I'm sure with normal H3 bulbs they would behave "properly"...
