The issue I had with ours was draughts and warpage over the years. Rather than simply replace the door as an 'up and over', I took the plunge for an insulated roller shutter and it's flipping brilliant..! Should have done it years ago.
It's electrical, so coming home is like reversing into a submarine pen and closing the door before I get out of the car is lovely..
