Thank you all.
A fairly quiet day as you can imagine but I had the great pleasure of my daughter cooking lunch for us. It was a bit sad that Alis had to take her to the station late afternoon as she continues her trip. It was very pleasant to have her with us for Christmas.
She is having a few days in Torino then Rome before head back to Johannesburg. We do seem to be one of those families that gets spread all over the globe.
I'm doing fairly well really but I am under some restrictions to take it easy and I am not allowed to drive or spend too much time out in the cold. Now that Christmas and my birthday is out of the way I really have to concentrate on getting my diet in order. Reduced fats and sugars, and easy on the alcohol. Though I am sure a glass or two of Giles's
Paolo Manzone Barolo Riserva DOCG 2011, taken purely for medicinal purposes, won't do me any harm.
Actually on doctor's orders I'm not allowed any spirits at the moment
