Thanks Giles, that confirms what I thought was the case. And, according to German Wiki, see below, no eco vignette required (or issued) for cars older than 20 years. Knowing I can make a foray into Paris after Le Mans is very helpful. Getting out again on a weekday could take some planning, although I have Austrian "historic" registration which perhaps could be argued is the same as collector.
