So what about Fifth Gear? I believe it is now finished but when it came to just cars it seemed to fit the bill....

It's a young persons program (commercial target age group 16-49) and if you are an old fart either factor it in or avoid it no problem really. I'm happily doing the former unless I find it boring i.e Electrickery cars.
I still enjoy it more than the 2 grumpy old farts and the crash dummy - they just lost their way about 5 years ago.
I think I've got too old for this..both TGT and TG are more about style than substance, in my view. I enjoy the new Discovery Channel and Ant Anstead Wheeler Dealer more....
I do feel like an interloper whilst watching TG and agree with you on the style pointer, it seems to be the only important thing for todays youngsters though. Must look up some of these other car programs and give them a look.
