Hello from sunny Ilkley! Well I guess the clue was in my forum name?
So, despite being 6'2" I have always fancied owning a Morgan since I first fell in love with cycle cars and the brand since going to the Stoneleigh kit car festival and meeting some three wheeled enthusiasts in 1999.
Wind forward 20 years and I have come into some money I wasn't expecting, so can now fulfill my dream. Thing is, whilst I still love the cycle cars, I now also love the 4 wheeled versions, and thought I would start my Morgan ownership with something a little more practical. Being a tall lad, I've sat in a few 4/4s, Plus 4s and Roadsters. I'm happy I can get in and out. I find the snug cockpit actually enhances the 'sports car' experience for me!
So, having spent a few months building up a database of vehicles for sale privately and via dealers so I could get a handle on the relationship between age, mileage, spec and price, (bit nerdy I admit, but it was informative) I'm down to two used 4/4s that float my boat, and I'm having them both looked over by my preferred automotive engineer, before haggling! I have first refusal on both.

PS - This whole process has been made a bit harder by there being no Morgan dealership in Yorkshire ! Some of us have money here too - we just want more for it! Could this be why?
