If they fit like VW mirrors there's a simple spring clip and two wires for the heater, but it's mission impossible to get at it. If the mirrors are Ford - consult a Ford dealer..... Or find a gynaecologist
Frank's idea is workable if there's sufficient depth to the cowl, and you can locate the correct shape.
