I guess the obvious, but very boring, answer is don't break the speed limit.
I am super conscious of this as I was "done" for 35mph way out in deepest Norfolk on a bright sunny day with no traffic or people in sight, but I couldn't argue as I was in the wrong.
Now I run dogs and young children over every day because I am fixated on the speedo !!
