I would say it's more likely to be a delaminated nearside Caparo front pad - I had identical symptoms on my 2 year old Sport.
Stripped them out and replaced with new - good as new.
Just take the wheel off it will be quite obvious once you remove the pad it will be in two pieces the friction material from the steel backing plate and an easy job to do.
If the dealer is close let him take the warranty claim.
I had the same problem with my 6 month old 4/4
Morgan replaced it under protest saying I was to "fastidious" and they were under no obligation to fix it - really...
Caparo initially responded then went very quiet and would not respond to my inquiry. No wonder they went broke.
