Interesting point about the weight of the Kent engine. I'm sure the triumph engine is significantly heavier (not much lighter than the Rover/Buick V8, I think) but I wonder how the Kent engine compares in weight to later four cylinder engines which are aluminium.
I've seen a table of weights somewhere but I can't remember where now (a link from Gomog?}. If I remember correctly it is a bit confusing because it is not like-for-like in terms of fluids, ancillaries, flywheels, bellhousings etc and then there are gearbox weights to consider.
