Just greased the front suspension, checked tyres etc ready for a trip to France. Had a quick 20 minute drive to get everything up to temp and check all is ok. After adjusting the gearknob, again... so probably 5 mins, I put the car in the garage. 5 minutes later there is a distinct smell of burning clutch or brakes. Never noticed this before. Usualky theres a wiff of hot coolant. But it wasnt bad enough to notice in the first 5 minutes when I was fiddling with the gear knob. Sniffing around it wasnt the brakes... I suspect clutch.
Now I'm a bit concerned about the trip. I'll try and drive the car during the week to see what happens, but just thought I'd consult the TMers in case there is something I should look out for. The cad has only done 9k miles....
