Once upon A time:
These remind me of the leather gaiters that were used to enclose leaf springs on Rolls-Royce cars in the 1920's.
I have seen many pictures of the springs totally enclosed and I think grease nipples to? but I was under the impression that a leaf spring gained its working function (like that bit) by having friction at the 2 ends, and wonder why some people advocate the lubrication of leaf springs, particularly Morgans.
Maybe we could learn something from Henry and Charles?
They certainly knew what they were about and 100 years later, their cars are here to prove it.
Morgan are almost there, but will the springs make the course?
