https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163110889029Good afternoon everyone!
Pootling about on the classifieds various and happened upon this little number for sale in Southampton. The price seems reasonable, and, although impossible to tell from pictures, sounds to be an honest and deserving little motor. What are the collected pearls of wisdom from the forum members?
Best,
J
It’s never going to get as low as £10k, but if you like it and it’s safe to drive then why not? A bit of rust doesn’t necessarily make it a dud and a good blast of waxoyl would potentially delay its death indefinitely. Rotten wood, much the same story, if it’s not a danger just leave it as is.
I enjoy seeing worn cars being used, they’re actually cooler than pristine ones, I have a friend who has a few old classics, all of which are tatty but mechanically sound, when he takes one to a show, he wipes it down with an oily rag to give it a shine

Word of warning though, they’re only reliable because he’s never done fiddling with them!
