Grease containing molybden is well suited for sliding movements, bonds with the metal surface, and is relatively resistent to washing out with water. Therefore it is well suited to difficult and moist environments like the front suspension with it's sliding pillar. So this is what I use, as opposed to grease meant for roller bearings.
Filling up a Wanner can be quite messy, and what is mostly available in any car equipment shop or even gas station is standard cartridges, meant for bigger grease guns. So here is what I do: I have a cheap standard grease gun with a cartridge inserted. Open up my Wanner, and simply fill it up from the bottom using the bigger gun. No mess, no spill. Cost you a few quid more for the bigger gun, but no need for high quality. Think I could do it wearing a white tuxedo.....
