I certainly picked the wrong day to travel up to Girvan in Scotland yesterday
Flooded and icy roads and high winds and a tree came down across the A713 just before our turnoff about 20 miles from our destination
Turned around and found a pub to wait as the only alternative route was a 70 mile detour
Went back 2 hours later and had to wait another 20 mins to for the tree to be chopped up and cleared
