If you mean the 9 stud, I usually fold in half, across the way so to speak, then fold in the side windows and that should be enough, you don’t want to be folding the plastic if you can help it and I also put a cloth or the blanket I carry in with the folds to protect it from scratching the windows.
I might be wrong, but I don’t think you can let the frame down with the hood attached like the easy up does.
