Heinz "all or nothing". Does that mean all functions of the car or all of the cars on the road as they interact? I see an issue over the mixed population as well. I do not mean that as "so it cannot happen".
I would say if it is really autonomous driving it means everything, all functions of the car and all of the cars on the road as they interact. Then it is no longer an individual car but a gondola that you enter and exit again. Then all cars are like taxis but without a driver and without a steering wheel. And you don't develop any owner pride for that. You wouldn't want to buy something like that individually you just pay for the ride.
