For my 70th Birthday I booked an hour flying a Boeing at the centre in Chudleigh (Devon) (

I would recommend the experience to anyone - it's spookily realistic and I came away with the thought that planes are way ahead of cars in terms of automation, and we shouldn't be afraid of it. I flew from Gatwick to Berlin and then through the Alps at low level!!
