It's really tight but the cover can be removed. There are little hooks that need to be teased out. It will help if you take off the large hose to the filter.
I get my filters from my local Ford man and are referenced P F1751529 (102096).
The sump really is 5.8 lts
The dip stick oil level is really hard to determine, hold up horizontally and you will see it.
Depending how the dip stick is inserted (flat side up or down) you will get different readings. I do flat side down.
The sump plug is non standard and uses a Dowty (bonded) washer. They can be reused. Made with nitrile they are good for up to eight years. They cost pennies so ......
