Rumble seat, here in Germany you say "mother-in-law seat".
That's very funny, how do you say that in German? I love the way the German language is able to turn a humorous phrase into a single word. One of my favourites is
schattenparker meaning a wimp, literally one who parks his car in the shade.
In the UK the rumble was commonly known as a
Dickie Seat but I've no idea why.
