here Grumpy for reasoning why this seems to happen with increased cooling from new rad. Your car will have thermostat in combined cylinder head outlets but the reasoning remains that cooler coolant on return initially lowers engine temp which is then over compensated by stat closing a tad and raising engine temp slightly.
