I'm so very sorry to hear this Pete, I know from a friend who is a Thompson pilot how difficult it is to get another flying job.

It must be especially galling to know that the airline side of the business, both TC and Condor, remained profitable and that the business was dragged down by a debt mountain "bought" from my-travel.
I read that just servicing the interest was almost beyond the company.
In the end, with no real prospect of paying back the debt the creditors pulled the plug.
It is illegal to trade whilst insolvent, but not, it seems, the you have debt you can never repay from earnings.
I'd like to see the Directors penalised for what they did - incompetent or dishonest: to me the result is the same.
I'd also like to see the rules changed to make it much harder to run a company carrying more debt than can be paid back from earnings.
