My dealer has checked my M3W. It is not supposed to smell like that. He assumes the clutch is worn, however, it should not be like that after only 2900 km. An assumption is that my problem with one of the cylinders not working properly, requires increased rpm when starting from standstill to prevent the engine from stopping. Therefore the clutch will not last as long as it should. The cylinder problem was there when I got the M3W, and I could sense the smell of the clutch after a few trips. It has not been fixed yet and the M3W is still with the dealer due to the cylinder problem.
