Not on computer but similar phone scam......
Few years ago a call from someone asking me to sell some shares I had and invest in his company’s scheme.
A busy talker with verbal overload. Told him to send stuff in the post. None arrived.
A year later another call. Recognised his voice. Asked him why nothing had been sent. More verbal overload/sales pitch. I put phone on speaker, went to make coffee, left him jabbering away. Got back and heard him asking ifI was still there. Told him about the coffee. He grunted and hung up.
He would have got my details as a shareholder easily as it is available anyway.
I used to have fun with some of these but now just let them go to voicemail, they usually hang up.
I did answer with. “Dyfed Powys Police, how can I help?”
Calls arediverted to us as part of a major investigation”
Quick hanging up.....
