Seriously, though, the only thing that concerns me about that is that if they really do have two places that the resale price will be lower for the ones built outside of Malvern, creating a sort of A and B category, if there will be different assembly/build places.
To go back to the rear tyre mud guard: No matter what Malvern will do - I will go with the lanolin saturated leather solution. It's simple, leather is great and it will also be a silent solution, so to speak (leather rather than a metal guard). It's a way of personalizing it too, even if people can't tell it from the outside.
