Welcome to Morganeering and TM Lumpy, that which you describe as your drive home is something I recognise, and suspect we all may have felt the first time we got behind of our first Morgan as owners...Long may that last....(-:

I bought my Morgan in 2002 and it was the first Morgan I had looked at with a view to possible purchase, I did not even test drive it such was my degree of confidence in both the workmanship of it`s restorer and my motoring ideals at the time, having spent circa 5 years reading on Morgan discussion groups that which Morganeers had to type about all manner of issues, repairs and more than all else the enjoyment of ownership.

I had bought into the idea that a Morgan could provide a more "comfortable" alternative for enjoying the countryside hereabouts than the m/cycle it was about to replace in that task, however perhaps like you my good lady had much grander plans I was not aware of, and which over the next few years saw us driving to France for the 24hrs the first year, then on to the very South of Spain a year later, and some time thereafter, driving down the Amalfi Coast road on my 50th birthday.... Adventures I had never ever imagined but a few years before... !

So there you go Lumpy, the tarmac outside the front door is just the start, and in a Morgan who knows where it might lead you... ENJOY. thumbs
