I have a studded vinyl roof. Some points that help fitting:
Use hood swivel pivots to release tension when fitting. Then reset to tighten.
Make sure the lip on the front sits ABOVE the screen frame.
Push the lift the dot fittings fully onto the studs, being careful not to stress the screen.
If you have leaks then fit extra sealing strips under the front edge. I use self adhesive strips.
The front corners of the hood can curl up a bit which affects airflow causing noise. Not as easy to cure though.
