My '67 Maserati that I had in Oz had two horns. One a normal electric horn that was connected to the steering wheel horn button and the other twin air horns with long trumpets that was actuated by a button on the end of the indicator stalk (or was it the other way round oldgit)
I was told it was referred to as "town and country horns". The twin air horns certainly made there presence known more than the beep of the "town horn"
