I’ve always understood that proper Land Rovers leak oil and leave their calling card. I’ve had my Defender for a number for years now and hardly a drip. It worried me initially to a point that I checked and changed all the oils ie engine transmission axles etc and it’s still oil tight. It must have been a mid week build!
Wrong thinking. Its a Friday car - they knocked off early and forgot to install the leak.
