I use prescription glasses. All photochromatic for years now. 100% clear when not exposed to direct sunlight and quite dark when they get hit by the noon sun light. I love the way they regulate according to the UV radiation (which is what makes them react and get more or less dark).
But I found a couple of problems:
1 - they don't work inside modern cars. Because almost all new modern cars have a UV filter in their windshield and windows. So, if you think your photochromatic lenses will work inside a modern car, they'll not. So I have to carry prescription sunglasses when I travel.
2- The photochromatic technology is not compatible with the Polarized technology. At least not with prescription lenses. Maybe for normal ones it is, but I have reasonable doubts.
Looking at the Serengeti web page, I can’t see a model with both technologies. Are you sure they can combine both characteristics?
