I would give it some time to bed in Ian. Things will loosen up after the first few thousand miles.
Assuming its not making unexpected noises!
Both my Plus 4 gearchanges also improved after I tilted the gearbox and filled it with the level plug horizontal. We've had discussions about this on TM before.
Certainly my 2016 gearbox was uninspiring until it settled in with some miles.
