Some months ago I mentioned in this forum, my ignition lock problem, and the current 'lock-down' has given me time to start investigating. The tip of the key has broken off and remains inside the lock. All attempts at extracting it have failed so I need to take out the barrel of the lock and give it a good rattling. Having removed the panels to expose the housing, I removed a grub screw and depressed two little 'nibs' that appear to be holding the barrel in place, but although it feels quite loose I have not found what is retaining it. I don't want to remove the steering column if it can be avoided so has anyone any ideas? I believe the lock is a Peugot component but although there is some relevant information on line, I've found nothing that helps me.
