It has been a long wait since I placed the order last September, though the February build, interminable weeks at sea, and a few last minute hiccups; but I picked up my M3W at Morgan West in Santa Monica yesterday, and drove it home this morning to Las Vegas. 250 hot miles of driving through the desert, and every minute was a delight. First impressions, and no surprises thanks to all the great guidance on this forum:

- the speedometer lies like a politician, according to Waze it is 20% over the correct speed.
- the gas gauge can't make up its mind.
- the steering is accurate and alive
- the engine noise is delightful even without modifying the pipes, the bevel box noise less so and it seemed to come and go
- it fits me surprisingly well, given that I am 6'5". I may need to hunt down a steering wheel spacer
- it also fits the golf cart bay in my garage with inches to spare. Phew! I knew it was going to be tight.

I had Morgan West replace the transmission and prop shaft covers with the narrower versions from Germany, and am glad that I did this. They also put the headlights back where they should be, and fitted a hood strap.
