The most cost effective reader is Rovergauge software that runs on a PC. The software is free, but you need a cable to connect to the ECU .

The connector is on a spur off of the harness, behind and to the right side of the rear of the glovebox, there is a plug already in the socket, remove the plug and connect the Rovergauge cable.
