Thats the case in UK & has been for many years, mods of any description must be divulged. It used to be necessary to let them know if you fitted winter tyres but they have dropped the nonsense now. No doubt many who do ECU tuning dont tell as nothing is obvious unlike wide wheels. When getting a quote there is a question asking is the vehicle standard specification, is that not the case in USA?
