Will it be so easy to disable it on a new plus four which uses a bus for wiring? It could be but equally it may not be so simple I know you can’t change things like the lights without upsetting things.
No reason to assume it still cannot be overriden Gary. The belt clip sensor is a simple switch and very easy to simulate, so it won't upset the BCU. With lights (if MMC haven't disabled in firmware) its a different matter as they sense current flow to determine if bulb blown.
