I understand your sentiments Howard but Lawrence "Stroll" seems to have been a very shrewd investor in the past. He is a fully paid up petrol head and has contacts and access to some serious investors as well.

As I understand it, he's also pretty ruthless and if he has to take tough decisions about factories, he will.

When you say you don't build a Ferrari in one year or even 10 do you mean as an F1 team or a car brand?

Well the Ferrari race team is nothing to write home about at the moment and despite several hiccups, Aston Martin have a heritage dating back to the early 20's so maybe some clever marketing people can bottle some of that history.

Ferrari don't seem to view F1 as vanity project.

I do agree that it is highly unlikely Aston Martin will ever get close to Ferrari as a Brand (although they might actually beat them as an F1 team in the short term) but maybe, just maybe, Lawrence Stroll is the man to take it forward and ensure the survival of this iconic British Marque. Maybe it's time for the Garagistes to shine again
