About the 80GBP specialtool, you need a little force to open the spinner. I think a ratchet would be a little overstressed and gets a little bit

I do see that as another option, I would use an extendable fixed bar socket tool rather than a racket head so you have a better fulcrum/lever and not reliant on the ratchet mechanism to be upto the job.
