I've not had a problem with the oil gauge thankfully. I know the fans come on & I've used an infrared heat gun to check when they do come un (can't remember the reading now but it was within the generally accepted range).

If it isn't the gauge or the sensor I'm not sure what it could be. The Morgan specialist did a fault diagnosis & ruled out the ECU being at fault. The gauge only gives any find of sensible reading on a trailing throttle, otherwise it flickers wildly of just rests on the needle stop at the bottom.

At least I know it does not overheat, but it would be good to know what is going on with the coolant temp
