I don’t think the leads will give a noticeable ( if any) performance hike. They should help get a good consistent spark though, helping get a decent burn. Years ago I had an XR3i and it developed a bad misfire from about 2000rpm. New leads cured it. Standard leads not Magnecor.
Two weeks ago I checked my plugs and leads on the Plus8 as an annual job. MOT looming! The leads at least 8 years old.
