A very neat solution indeed andymot, thanks for posting the link. Just one thought, remembering many years ago my sister ordered an aluminium shed, I volunteered to lay a concrete base for it which I did. the shed was delivered and assembled on site by the company she bought it from, kids bikes and all sorts stored within until a few months later a gale blew up and the shed ended up sitting on top of the local HV transformer...
You guessed it, the thing had not been fixed to the base. and not having an inbuilt floor the weight if the bikes etc did not hold it in place.... So perhaps best to give fixing it to the deck a thought...?
Reminds of a friend of mine, who was admiring his two bikes parked in the garden whilst having his morning fag. He then remembered that he'd parked them both in his shed. I think it turned up in a different postcode.....
I've looked at several other options for mine, but they're either too big (I'm limited to 4.3m), too high and would block the window, or like the carapace, ludicrously expensive.
It takes little time to unclip the cover, roll it off, and unlock the chain/wheel locks - probably not much longer than fannying about with a garage door.
