There’s a saga tale involved here. But I’ll spare you the boredom, here’s the quick version
Yes AW will do a recliner at approx £2000!
No MX5 seats won’t fit, I’ve tried and failed. Nearest I got was cutting the seat base to fit, re-we;ding the parts back together and chopping up the seat foam with an electric carving knife. Got the base in just. But the seat back is fully moulded into the foam so performing a cut and shut on that proved very difficult. When completed the seat back was much too narrow to sit in with any comfort.
So for now I’ve taken the low tech route of using wooden wedges under the seat to recline the whole structure. Acceptable but not perfect.
