Fabulous, one of the best Mini Specials. Neville was still making a couple of them a year in France I believe, Not too sure if he still is.
I have had a strange urge for a Mini Marcos for few years now.
I’ve also been looking at a Cooper S’s for some time and would also have been strangely open to a Mini Marcos Brian, but when I saw this Mini Sprint was for sale I was compelled to buy it.
The work was done by Neville Trickett, who as you say lives in a rather run down Chateau in the south of France! He does it completely by eye and then tack welded it, as he does not Mig-weld, it was trailered back to the U.K. where it was finished by Old Skool Mini’s in Brum. So it’s an original Trickett Mini Sprint, but done in 2014 so I’m told the aficionado’s call them Series Iii’s.
It’s being delivered next week, together with the history file and a load of photos, if there’s interest I’ll post some of them up in a new thread…
