I wonder if anyone can help with this issue. I have changed (with considerable difficulty) the handbrake cable after suffering from overheating rear brakes on my 2014 GDI Plus 4. Now, even though the handbrake cable is disconnected, I cannot get the shoes back on, even with lots of centering and fiddling. How can I release the self-adjuster on these later brakes to effectively reduce the diameter of the shoes? I do not want to remove the shoes completely unless I have to.
