I don't think the octane rating is the point at issue, which would explain why you did not notice any problems. Rather that E10 will corrode (dissolve) plastic, rubber and some alloy components that are not designed for it. This includes fuel pipes, fuel pumps, injectors and carburettors as well as other bits of the car. Thus there is a very real fire risk over time, which no-one in the press or government seems to be mentioning in any detail.

I also believe from a much earlier post that Morgans such as my 2011 Roadster might well have fuel tanks and engines that are ok with E10 but the pipework in between is not. Has anyone seen a formal position from Morgan?
