Not quite sure what all the fuss is about, a few stickers to change to UK which is consistent with our passports which clearly identify us as of United Kingdom of Great Britain and NI. I personally have never by choice had a GB number plate on my car, when it was required, a GB sticker wasn't that great an imposition to apply to the vehicle.
