Can I say to all who have replied a BIG thank you. All the suggestions look to be viable
solutions. I am not sure how well the skate board tape will wrap around the bar, from my
memory of using it on skateboards 40 years ago, it tended to crack when bent, a bit like
sandpaper. However, things move on and often improve so I will steal some from my son
to see how that does.
And just to finish, Lightspeed: how clean is that garage! and how envious am I?
