this is a flat pack WWI barracks. Most went to France / overseas. This one is at Orford Ness and believed to be the only one left. I understand the National Trust's policy for all the site is to allow buildings to deteriorate as there are too many to preserve them.

If true that seems a shame. We weren't allowed close today so this is on zoom.



Orford Ness had a WWI airfield and they developed the hydraulic interrupter gear for guns there plus parachutes, photograhpy & bombing techniques
