A really good brush of the sheepskin. (I use an old toothbrush)
Then I run my portable vacuum cleaner across the sheepskin.
Followed by a wipe with a damp cloth, add a tiny amount of liquid wool/silk wash if necessary.
Dry with a hairdryer, which lifts the pile.
