The Wire wheels definitely stand off the rear drums & even have a concave inner that does not hold the setscrews in place, if you service the rears best to replace the little star washers with new & add a drop of blue loctite

May be worth mentioning to the uninitiated that the linings are of different thickness. The leading shoe does more work when braking as the rotation of the drum pulls it even tighter to the braking surface and increases the braking effect.
